OR Nurse– POA Surgery Center is looking for an Operating Room RN. The job responsibilities are indicated below. Join our growing organization and be a part of an amazing team!
Job Description:
- The RN-OR is responsible for direct patient care in a single operating room and local procedure rooms.
- Participates as a team member in support of the total perioperative process
- Assists with supply, drug, and equipment inventories to maintain stock level and availability
- Addresses patient needs during admission to the operating room, with attention to requirements specific to the ASC setting
- Transports patients to the operating room observing policies/ procedures, safety requirements, and patient needs
- Identifies the patient and correct surgical intervention according to policy/ procedure and communicates such information to all members of the surgical team
- Reviews patients’ medical records/ needs to plan care with other healthcare team member
- All other duties as assigned
Job Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED certificate
- Graduate of accredited school of nursing
- RN with active license in appropriate state
- At least 2 years of previous operating room experience
- BLS/ACLS/PALS
- Evidence of leadership qualities
- Strong ethical and moral character references
- Computer literacy
Preferred:
- ASC experience

Surgical Technician
Job Description:
- Scrubs, gowns, and gloves members of surgical team following aseptic techniques.
- Assists in set up of operating room with all necessary equipment and supplies.
- Assists with the preparation, transportation, and monitoring of patients.
- Arranges instruments according to routine for given procedure.
- Handles instruments according to routine for given procedure.
- Maintains sterile field throughout the surgical procedure.
- Performs room clean up following procedures, as well as general housekeeping duties.
- Provides assistance in emergency situations as directed.
- Functions in the role of second assistant following successful skills demonstration.
Job Qualifications:
- The Operating Room Technician must be a High School graduate or have completed a GED course. In addition, successful completion of O.R. technician course and/or 2 years experience is preferred. The successful candidate must have the ability to work independently as well as function within a team; have a basic knowledge of surgical technique; assist in providing care for the surgical patient; and must possess the ability to handle stress.
